DIVORCE MEDIATION DENVER COLORADO

Divorce Mediation Colorado can be a fair and cost-effective divorce solution. It's like sitting down with a Colorado judge and working things through without attorneys, without blame, and without fear. We can resolve your case, complete your paperwork, and have you ready for court approval without delays.

The parties will need to try some form of alternative resolution before they use the courts. This is usually mediation and can be done early in the case. If it is unsuccessful, the parties will need to use the courts to make the decisions.

Mediation is a process where the parties can hire a neutral person called a mediator to go over the issues with the parties and help them get a resolution. The mediator is highly trained and has many options to help the parties resolve differences. The mediator will know many ways to reach resolution that the parties could not have thought of on their own.

The mediator has no power to take sides or to make orders against or in favor of a party. The mediator has no input in a final court decision and everything said in mediation is confidential and inadmissible in court.

The mediator may tell the parties where the law in Colorado stands on any given issue and what a given Judge may have done in the past. In some jurisdictions the court may order the parties to attend mediation. The parties may also volunteer to mediate and may choose their mediator.

Mediation is informal, comfortable, and less expensive and may resolve the entire case. If not, the parties will understand their issues much better and be better prepared for the continuing negotiations and trial that lies ahead for them where mediation has not settled all issues.
